Call me a grump, but I've never been a fan of Valentines Day. Maybe it's cause I'm not a fan of chocolate, so that's out. After being a florist for a few years, and seeing the outrageous mark up on flowers, I really rather not have someone waste their money on that. Plus, my anniversary is two weeks later, and it's so much easier to get a reservation on the 28th rather than the 14th. So Eric and I came up with another plan... we are all about simple traditions.
We get Panda Express every V. Day.

Yum! We use to get a movie that night and drink a bottle of Martinellies too, but sometime it's just sitting down together after the kids are asleep and enjoying our Chinese food:) Yes, it's a little dorky, but it totally works for us and it's something I look forward to each year.
And for those of you who are thinking, What! Are you kidding me? You don't like Valentines Day!?! I will say there still is hope. I did enjoy helping Tyler make his cards for school, and while the boys were at a friends house this morning, they made me the cutest card,

so maybe, just maybe through my little ones, the joy of Valentines Day will return. (Actually, it might have already happen and I'm just in denial)

I have to admit, I don't have my own blog, but I'm addicted to checking others. I agree with you, I never liked valentines day. Mac and I just watched Princess Bride. I haven't seen that in the longest time, and it's a great v-day movie. I can't believe in a couple weeks that'll make 6 years! Congrats!
