FOTO FUN

Did you know overcast light is some of the best light to take photos in? Combine that with some window light and you get magic. Well, we have had plenty of clouds lately and we have been stuck inside so I grabbed the camera and did a few shots. Are they the cutest? I can honestly say they are a blast to take pictures of, most of the time ;)

What's A Girl To Do?

Since yesterday I was a true mother of boys, today it is girl time. The weather is horrible. I dread having to go outside to take the boys to school and pick them up. The rain, the wind, the cold, it is just yucky out there. So being stuck inside left me little choice but to do some online shopping. As I mentioned in an earlier post, I love online shopping cause I can put all the things I want in the cart and when I am done, I just close the window without checking out. It makes me feel like I have shopped without spending the money. I know I am a dork, but it works for me. Check out some of these finds this morning.

Actually I found this jacket about a month ago and LOVE IT but can justify the cost, so it has become a staple for my online shopping.

I really like these too, but Camel isn't the best color on me and I try to stay away from black wool. Maybe if it came in a red.And I had to grab some hot, sexy dresses!

And this super cute skirt. I love the ruffles.
Speaking of ruffles, I have my various ruffle purses that I love, but I am trying to branch out and find a different style. These might be a new line of thinking, but I don't know yet.
Yellow or Pink?
And then there are the skinny jeans. I have tried not to go there only because I am not super up on fashion and I don't know the rule on moms wearing them. And then there is problem if I did get them I would have to have some super hot shoes to pair with them, so for now... they are an online shop item. The shoes too.

And lastly, this top and these shoes would be great every day wear (not together) and make my shopping cart complete.

I love rainy days and my new selection of clothes and accessories. Think there is any way these might magically show up in my closet???? I wish...

Puddles and Fun

Having boys and rainy days sometimes can present it's challenges, but on the other hand, sometimes have boys and rainy days can be a blast if I get past my girlishness. Today, for sanity purposes I put my hair and make-up aside (not that that is saying much) and put on my gear and headed outside to brave the storm. The boys LOVE LOVE LOVE the rain. We probably would have stayed out all morning if poor little Austin's rain boots weren't 2 sizes to big and he hadn't fallen right into the puddle 2 minutes after we had been outside. He was soaked, but I think he could have cared less as we walked up and down the street splashing around.

The older two are really into finding worms (SO GROSS) and there were a ton of worms out this morning to be found.
After Austin 4th fall into the water I took him up to the house where he got to play in the water coming out of the drain. He always wants to touch it after it rains and I never let him, but today, I changed my mind. By the way, his jacket is a light grey, pre-fall.
And of course there was lots and lots of splashing.

But then the wind kicked up, and it was cold!!! I had to bribe them with a warm bath and hot cocoa to come inside, but eventually they came. I had everyone take off their boots before going inside and I am so glad I did. I had no idea how much water those little boots could hold, on the inside! The ground was completely dry before Tanner took off his first boot...

So even though I came in wet and cold, I can't deny the joy on my kids faces as they enjoyed nature at its finest.

Day 4, 5, 6,....25!

I feel like I fell off the face of the earth, and I guess I kind of did. Last month started out great. And then it hit. The almost daily trip to the doctors office. Okay, maybe not daily, but 5 times in two weeks is enough for me. It started with Austin's shots, which takes him out for 2-3 days. Then Tanner had a double ear infection. Then Ty had an ear infection and finally Austin had a double ear infection and his left ear drum burst. Poor kids. The doctor offered me covered parking and a personal valet though due to my frequent visits. So needless to say I had many sleepless nights and not much time to blog during the day as I tried to catch up on work and kids and house stuff. Plus we had all our daily Christmas things to do. Even with all the sickness and craziness we did something every day as a family to keep us in the holiday spirit, and it really made a difference this season. We had a great time and to top it off my Grandma came into town and just topped off the season with all her love and joy. It really was a lot of fun. But in stead of boring everyone with a daily post of things that happened last month, I made this little show summing up some of our fun moments of last month.

I can't figure out how to download it, so follow this link to see the Lawrence Christmas 2009.
